Summary
This section connects two of the most beautiful preserved beaches in the city: Prainha and Grumari. The route follows the shoreline and hillside trails, passing by viewpoints with spectacular views of the Rio de Janeiro coast. Both beaches are protected by municipal parks and offer basic infrastructure for visitors.

Trail Description
(West to East / Barra de Guaratiba to Morro da Urca)
Access is from Prainha, following the shoreline. Grumari beach is a natural continuation.
How to Get There
For safety reasons, we recommend that this stretch be done as part of the Morro da Babilônia Circuit.
We recommend starting at Rua General Ribeiro da Costa, at the beginning of Ladeira do Barroso. It is not mandatory, but we recommend hiring a local guide to ensure a more complete and safe visit.

There are bars and restaurants in the Prainha and Grumari area, especially the beachfront kiosks.
